She is currently the principal at Brooke East Boston. Prior to joining Brooke, she taught special education at the New England Center for Children.

Ms. Cole is currently serving in an advisory role to the Brooke East Boston leadership team. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Cole was a 2007 Teach for America corps member in Eastern North Carolina and also taught with Mastery Charter Schools in Philadelphia, PA.

Ms. Ellis is currently serving as Assistant Principal at Brooke East Boston. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Ellis worked at as a special education teacher in a resource room setting.

She currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Brooke East Boston. Before Brooke, Ms. Lee taught first grade in New York City as a Teach for America corps member. She has also worked as a student support coordinator, instructional coach, and special education teacher within other district and charter schools in Boston.

Before coming to Brooke, Mr. Weekes taught 5th grade at Roxbury Prep Dorchester for several years and coached at a plethora of schools in Greater Boston through Teach For America as a manager in teacher leadership development.

Ms. Castillo has also worked in a psychiatric inpatient hospital supporting adolescents and adults.

Casillas had more than 18 years working as an elementary, special education and PE teacher in Puerto Rico and Boston. She moved to Boston in 2006 and worked as a lead teacher in Jamaica Plain Head Start and Boston Public Schools. Sra. Casillas looks forward to inspiring children to continue to study Spanish throughout their elementary school years and beyond. SPANISH IS THE PASSPORT TO ANOTHER WORLD!

Since then, Ms. Bergstrom taught second grade at Brooke for a total of five years and has moved up to join the third grade team. She was named a Mentor Teacher in 2016, and has served in that capacity in both second and third grade since. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Bergstrom founded KIPP Central City Primary in New Orleans, LA. There she taught kindergarten, first, and third grade over the course of her five years and participated in the KIPP Teacher Leader Program. She is also an alumnus of TeachNOLA, a division of The New Teacher Project (TNTP).

Currently, Mr. Kelly is the debate coach, back to defend our Best School in the Boston Debate League title. Before Brooke, Mr. Kelly worked as a middle school ELA teacher in Dorchester, and attended Trinity College for undergrad and Boston College for my masters.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Mr. Flowers plans to inspire and nurture scholar's musical growth and instill a lifelong love and understanding of music using a unique combination of in-class teaching, directorial, and playwright experience coupled with four and a half years in music engineering and visual media. Remaining true to his multi-ethnic roots and southern demeanor, he wants everyone he encounters to feel a sense of cultural values, academic appreciation, and readiness to lead our future (scholars) beyond tomorrow.
