Mx. Nadia Milad Issa joined Brooke East Boston in 2026 as the Dance Teacher, a part of the Enrichment Team. Before coming to Brooke, Nadia had more than 10 years of dance performance, dance research, pedagogy, ethnographic fieldwork, and dance choreography, while at Hampshire College (BA in Dance, Anthropology, and Africana Studies), Harvard Divinity School (MTS), and the University of Texas at Austin (MFA, Dance). Nadia has received training from and performed in works by Frederick Earl Mosley, Vincent Hardy, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane, Bebe Miller, Bárbara Balbuena, Yeniselt Galata Calvo, Obini Batá, Camille A. Brown, and Raíces Profundas, among others. Nadia’s most recent choreographic works include Agape Love (2025) and Weight of Faith (2026).
