mvanhorne@ebrooke.orgMakeda Van Horne joined Brooke in 2021 as an Associate Teacher and later became a Sixth Grade ELA and Social Studies teacher at Brooke Mattapan. She is now a Seventh Grade ELA and Social Studies Teacher. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Van Horne worked at the Henry Lord Community School as a Technology Teacher, a STEAM Teacher, and a long-term mentor with the Coaching for Change program. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and was featured on the Boston 12 news along with speaking at the DESE- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion conference.
