Join us in supporting Brooke Families

Brooke Newsletter

This Holiday Season,

Will you join us in supporting struggling Brooke families?

As a year, 2020 has brought so much upheaval and stress. Within our school community, students must learn online, teachers need to adapt their practices for a remote environment, and parents have to go above and beyond to support their children on school days. For some Brooke families, who have experienced job loss, illness, or lost loved ones, the COVID-19 crisis has brought even more hardship.

With the holidays approaching, will you make a donation to support Brooke families and ease some of their stress this season?

At Brooke, families always play a critical role as a partner in their child’s education. This year, they are creating student workspaces at home, providing multiple meals each day, troubleshooting technical issues, and checking-in more often with teachers remotely, tasks that are especially daunting for families experiencing financial strain. We were so grateful for the support that poured in to the first round of our Community Relief Fund last spring, which provided $500 grants for basic needs to nearly 300 Brooke families. Unfortunately, families are still struggling.

We feel the tremendous urgency of having only one chance at this school year – we know there are no do-overs. Our staff are focused on high quality remote learning that challenges students academically and supports them emotionally. We hope you will pitch in to help those families most in need of support. If you can make a gift before the holidays, we can get it out to a family in need right away!
