It's A New School Year!

Join Our Team

Every August, Brooke starts school early – well before other districts across the state. Our great results demonstrate the positive impact of a longer school year for student learning.

What's New?

This year, Brooke is moving eighth grade back to our Roslindale, Mattapan, and East Boston campuses, discontinuing the Eighth Grade Academy model co-located with Brooke High School. This change requires creating more space at our K-8 campuses, which we can do thanks to the federal Coronavirus relief funding.

To Prepare For This School Year,

We Spent The Summer

Welcoming New Teachers

Starting on July 25th, 65 new staff participated in a week-long orientation on what makes Brooke different. They covered Brooke's anti-racist culture, high expectations for students, and subject-matter content.

Training All Staff

All staff returned to school on August 1st, in order to prepare for the first day of school for all of our scholars: kindergarten on August 11th, grades 1-8 on August 15th, ninth grade on August 17th, and grades 10-12 on August 18th!
